The File Menu Items Description ------------------------------- New stage Creates and opens a new stage over the current one. Open stage Opens a USD file from disk. Recent Files Open a scene from the list of the recent files. Add Stage Add a stage to the current session. Save Current Layer Save the changes in the current layer. Save Current Layer As Save the current layer to file. Export All Export the scene to file. Export Selection Export the selected items to file. Export USDZ Export the scene to USDZ file. Reload Current Stage Reopens the current stage. All unsaved changes are erased. Close Current Stage Closes currently opened stage. Close All Stages Closes all stages opened in memory. Quit Closes the application. File Menu Preferences --------------------- Some of the functions allow to set their preferences using *options* menu, which is accessible by clicking to the checkbox opposite the menu item. |file_menu| Each customizable item has own independent list of preferences which allows to define such options as: * Load Operation (whether to load the Payload arcs); * Edit Target (whether to edit the Root layer or the Session Layer); * Create a new Session Layer or not; * Set the default UpAxis to a new stage; * Set the default framerate (FPS) to a new stage; * Default measure discreetness metadata (e.g use meters/centimeter); * Default FrameRange of the new stage; * Create and Set defaultPrim to a new stage. For instance, the new stage options window allows to define such preferences as up axis, measure discreetness, default FPS, frame range, target layer etc. |new_stage_options| While the open stage options window allows to define only the load and layer preferences: |open_stage_options|
