Attribute Editor

The Attribute Editor panel allows for managing the properties of scene content, such as meshes, lights, cameras, curves etc. The panel displays the Attributes of the selected Prim or the Prim which was selected and locked.

The structure of the Attribute Editor’s panel is provided below:

Note

The selection changing with the Prim selection buttons is independent from the Viewport selection.

Tip

You can use more than one Attribute Editors at once. Use the Prim selection buttons or “lock the Prim” button to display the attributes of the different Prims.

Attribute property status

Property Status Icons describe the strength ordering in which the various composition arcs combine, within each layer.

Metadata

The Attribute Editor allows to view and manage such types of Prims’ metadata as:
  • documentation

  • references

  • apiSchemas

  • variantSelection

  • specializes

  • etc…

Visibility of the metadata in Attribute Editor can be switched in the Preferences panel.

Variant Selection

The prim variants are collected across all layers. The result of editing with this widget depends on the selected layer and the property status.

Specializes

Specializes are collected across all layers. The result of editing with this widget depends on the selected layer and the property status. Deleting of a weaker-level API populates delete specialize metadata.

References

Prim references are collected across all layers. The result of editing with this widget depends on the selected layer and the property status. Deleting a weaker-level references populates delete reference metadata. Adding a new reference populates apply reference metadata

Api Schemas

The API schemas are collected across all layers. The result of editing with this widget depends on the selected layer and the property status. Deleting a weaker-level API populates delete apiSchemas metadata.

Ladder Widget

The Ladder widget improves the panel usability in changing the int and float values. It is activated using the MMB on the digit value or the attribute’s name.

All the changes made using the Ladder widget are applied instantly what allows to visually assess the changes’ influence to the Prim.

This widget also supports bulk editing of the attributes containing more than one digit value, e.g. coordinates or color. To change all values synchronously, use MMB on the attribute’s name.
